Introduction of Tungsten Bar Stock
Tungsten Bar Stock is a powder metallurgy product consisting mainly of a hard phase and a binder phase. The hard phase is very hard, mainly various carbides. The main carbides are: tungsten carbide (WC), titanium carbide (TiC), tantalum carbide (TaC) and niobium carbide (NbC). In most cases, cobalt is used as a binder phase. In cemented carbide plants, cemented carbides are mixed, pressed and sintered.
The classification of cemented carbide is carried out according to ISO standards. This classification is based on the material class of the workpiece (P, M, K, N, S, H). Different carbide materials have different uses, such as turning, milling, hole machining, threading, grooving, etc.
